I already submitted my application for UChicago EA. I was just glancing through stuff today, and realized that in the AP/IB Tests section, it asks for the date taken or to be taken:

I only put in the AP tests I have taken thus far, and did not put in the date for the AP tests that I will take in May of next year, the classes for which I am currently taking. Did everyone enter in the dates for the AP tests they will be taking come May, just not the scores (obviously)?

In the section of the common app where you enter your current year schedule, I listed all the AP classes I am taking right now, I just didn't realize that I should have entered in the dates for the AP exams in the test section. Is this a huge mistake? Should I message my rep?

I put the dates for my may 2010 tests. I don’t see any harm in emailing your regional admissions person, and I don’t think this is a huge mistake. I think everything will be fine. Also, you probably put down your current courses for senior year on the app and so that shows that you are taking ap classes. ultimately, I would email your rep, but not stress:) in the meantime listen to some vampire weekend:)

I did the same, A-Punk. I’m not going to worry about it. My transcript says which AP’s I’m taking and our School Profile says that kids who take an AP class has to take the exam. So I’m hoping that the admissions person is smart enough to put two and two together. And in the grand scheme of college admissions, taking the AP class is a lot more important than taking the exam itself.
