I was admitted to UCLA as a freshman for the class of 2014. What effect would a low score on an AP have on an already admitted student? What effect would canceling this score have?

I’m only a junior in high school, but I am pretty sure that it wouldn’t have mattered if you took the AP test at all in terms of admission. I wouldn’t see any point in canceling scores based upon the argument that UCLA may look poorly on a poor performance on an AP test… I doubt even Harvard, or some school like that, would revoke one’s admission based on an AP test taken senior year, after the person has already been admitted.

Hmm, thanks. Any other thoughts?

dont worry about it. i totally slacked off and got 2 b’s, 1 c, and 2’s and 3’s on my ap exams senior year but nothing ever happened to me.

Well, people who bomb one of their IB exams can get their offers rescinded because failing a subject means you fail the whole diploma. Since AP’s are separate, I think it would be different.

Yeah, that makes sense. These are only AP tests, however.
