It's different at every school, but most schools use Myer's book for psychology and The American Pageant for history.

I used The Enduring Vision for history.

To the first question: no.

I have taken both of those classes, but I don't remember what books we used. I do know that we didn't use the book too much for US History (though I believe some do.) We did use it pretty extensively for Psych, but we also used some some supplemental stuff---a book on Freud, lots of articles, some primary materials. Though I think those were more for IB, and the textbook was for AP.

Enduring Vission for US His

We use America: A narrative history by George tindall and David Shi

thanks... any one know the one's used in Virginia?

psych = myer's

US hist. = American pageant

(it varies depending on the school........but these are popular)

but, if you have a really good teacher, you won't be using the text book much anyway.(in most cases)
