Trying to figure out the DBQ at the last minute. I’m having trouble structuring my body paragraphs to where I can analyze the documents themselves (and get points for mentioning point of view, historical context, etc.) while at the same time using the information provided by the documents to support my thesis. Any suggestions? What general outline are you guys using?
Anybody have the practice test
Um does anyone have the link to the answers to the official practice test from collegeboard? none of the links you guys posted are working for me…
Are you guys all on the east coast?
Is this how you format the short response questions? (This is the first short response in the practice test)
Btw, link for those asking: http://media.collegeboard.com/digitalServices/pdf/ap/ap-us-history-practice-exam.pdf
The beginning of democracy is best exemplified with the new party nominations , which emerged during the Jacksonian period during the 1830s. In the past, party nominations were closed in a caucus, but voters were given more influence due to open party nominations. The rise of the political parties in the 1790s were flawed democratically, because citizens without property were not given a proper voice. The political parties, Federalists and Anti-federalists, represented the interest of the propertied classes.
Scared! But hoping for that 5 and going into that test with confidence! Goodnight everyone & good luck
gl guys. I’m so screwed…
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US! REMEMBER THAT WE ARE MORE THAN AN AP SCORE.

Well, that test just screwed me pretty good. My DBQ tho, a complete joke lol
My thoughts:
MC - not too bad. most questions could have 1-2 answers crossed off due to irrelevant time period anyway. maybe 35–40 out of 55
Short Answer - a joke. really. No reason to miss any points on this
DBQ - I got kinda screwed for time on this. I made a good thesis but only synthesized 4/6 documents. Also I didn’t put any external connections or additional historical evidence for my claim. I might have gotten a 1-3 on the DBQ
Long Essay - thankfully essay #2 was something I literally went over the night before the test. absolutely nailed it
Im hoping for a 5 overall, but since my DBQ was sour ill take a 4 too.
Apparently there were two forms of the exam so the questions are all different??
I’m SO GLAD everythings done! CONGRATS EVERYONE WHO FINISHED today is a day of celebration
I got exempt from the classes afterward so I’m just chilling at home!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ON THE WEST COAST
(sorry for all the caps, I’m just super happy I’m done)
woah when did CC have emoticons
Spent way too much time on one essay than the other… Screwed up my both of my essays in return OTL. The questions were answerable since I reviewed it these past couple of days to have it fresh in my mind. I just hope I get at least 4 points on my essays…
I know there were multiple difference tests but did anyone get a lot of As and Bs and few Cs on the multiple choice?
dbq for conservationism was difficult at first but not so much after realizing great society was involved.
long essay on Mexican American war was simple with compromise of 1850 and Wilmot proviso
short responses about natives and colonists got me hanging nuts
DBQ and long essay were gucci but the short answers were hellllll.
Are we allowed to discuss them?
The SAQ was the easiest part of the exam for me.
