@Chrysanthemum14 Ooh ok i thought you had my form haha
@acause I linked how the American ideals in imperialism and away from isolationism was similar in both the U.S expansion west through the Mex-American War and our wishes to gain the Philippines.
I didn’t like the Indians one short answers. I think I put the Southwest as relying on irrigation, Great Plains / Basin on hunting, and Northeast on fishing and agriculture based on somewhat fertile mountainous terrain.
I felt like MC was super easy.
in the dbq and 1 or 2 SAQ I mentioned america’s image as a place where self-help and individualism flourished and that that image dated back to the colonial days. did anyone else mention that?
@cooldude1098 I had the DBQ on conservatism. I mentioned how American was built on rugged individualism, rather than big government in my intro if that couints.
I put the Great Society by LBJ in my DBQ, showing how extreme liberalism influenced the rise of New Right ideals that were much more conservative.
yah that’s what I was talking about
Any idea on the curve?? I think it will be pretty harsh…
I really hope this is a typo and you meant conservatism…
@ChemFire085 Just going off my school alone which had roughly 80 kids. I could tell only about 10 of us wrote anything extensive in Section II, as everyone else already had there booklets closed a half hour before end time lmao
I put FDR in my intro but idk if that counts as synthesis bc he was in one of the docs
^^ lol!! I think I did really well on the DBQ but I screwed up on the long essay. But who knows what I’ll get?? It’s unpredictable.
Considering my class didn’t even finish World War II I got pretty screwed over getting a DBQ from 1950-80’s haha. Luckily I still know a decent amount about that era.
I regret not studying, even for a little bit. I was having a lot more trouble with the MC than I should have. I was always narrowed down to 2 answers and I had to guess which one sounded more right. That happen to me for like 80% of that part.
Pretty sure I bombed the short answers since they wanted 1 piece of historical evidence and I couldn’t come up with anything at all. Most of my paper was blank sadly.
DBQ was surprisingly easy. I didn’t have too much trouble gathering my evidence and making my thesis. The information just flowed from my head to my hands and I was coming up with information as I was going. I feel pretty good about it but I might have some errors in it and it was 5 pages long so…
I also bombed the long essay, even with the two prompts presented, I really did not know both of them. So I just chose one of them and made up some stuff. Needless to say, it was a poorly written essay.
Overall, I think I did a pretty decent job. If I had prepared myself during the week, it surely would’ve been an easy 4 for me. Hopefully I didn’t screw up too much for the MC and I should be good for a 3 at least.
I predict that getting a 5 on this test is going to be as hard as the new AP biology exam since they redid the curriculum on both. ~5-6% get 5s every year, which is pretty low.
Long Essay about the Mexican-American War really screwed me over… I couldn’t think of any evidence really, but I still managed to pull about 2 pages because I think I had good arguments
I think I did pretty good, our class read out 650 paged textbook page to page. The class was super stressful, and for that reason we all studied really hard. We spent ALOT of time talking about the Indians and colonists so I was good on that. I had O and it wasn’t that hard. The multiple choice was a little rough, but the short answer was really easy.
I read the Princeton Review 2015 AP book page to page. It had a lot of useless info in there. However it really covered Indians and the time after the Indian French War.
Hopefully I got a 5, but for sure a 4.
do you need 65% or 75% to get a 5?
@acause I did the same thing!
@TopOne previous exams were around 60% iirc
What do you guys think the curve for a four will be ?
