@schakrab I was deciding between parents and the one that mentioned they pursued political change through direct action and picked the latter.
@Smittens I find that hard to believe that 60-65% is a 5 because this test was way too easy. And I’m not exactly a genius either I barely passed the AP Euro test (with a 3) last year and it’s not like I feel like I was any better prepared for this test but it was just a 10x easier test.
@ros12122 If you’re organized and have a good thesis (I was really sloppy lol) that you tie back to I assume scorers might be more lenient to it since most writers are very sloppy and disorganized. Really depends on how solid your outside information is I guess. 4/5 sounds possible.
@cooldude1098 I din’t say political change because I didn’t really think the hippies were actually that politically active compared to the new left. They were just about changing culture.
i thought about the university protests about vietnam and thats way i picked that
@cooldude University protests wasn’t really hippies though was it? Hippies weren’t the college students that was mostly the new left.
Idk, i probably got it wrong then
@RHSclassof16 it could be 65%-73%
@schakrab I got the same answers as you for the Anne Hutchinson piece
@MileSwimmerDude What was the Anne Hutchinson one? An MC question and if so was that the 2nd great awakening one?
I said the Garvey article had to do with the Treaty of Versailles and Malcolm X because he talked abut black pride. Are these right?? I didnt think it was the Harlem Renessaince, I felt that answer was too narrow. And who would agree with him? Progressive reformers?? It was too late in history (1920) so I dont think former slaves wouldve agreed with him because there were not many.
@ros12122 Anen Hutchinson article was about how she can ‘preach about God’ just like anyone else. I said the excerpt was about legal rights in the colonies, black women in 70’s speaking out, and 2nd great awakening
I’m on west coast so all the east coasters are probably already in bed…lol. I missed the discussion it looks like
@MileSwimmerDude Oh wait it was a short answer question??
wait y couldnt garvey be the harlem renaisance, he was a leading intellectual of the movement
@MileSwimmerDude Ignore my last comment, I was confused for a second
@schakrab i said self-determination (because that was implied by the passage). And I said that they both disagreed parents’ ideas.
I thought that was Harlem Renaissance too
@MileSwimmerDude I agree about Malcolm X for continuation of Marcus Garvey. For people who would support him, I said presidents who support colonization, but I’m really not sure. I was thinking about how the American Colonization Society was supported by presidents and both had a sort of “Back to Africa” theme. I changed it to that from Great Migration peeps (since they were in-migrating) and former slaves (since I didn’t think that they were really involved in it).
Anyone remember the years for the leq about the 7 year war
