@MileSwimmerDude i put those answers
@Chrysanthemum14 I dont think I had that one. What were the answer choices?
@Chrysanthemum14 no, but I’m pretty sure I know which one you’re talking out. Basically the people forcing a slave down their throat were Democrats (like Stephen Douglas— people who wanted slavery).
Adam Norris did a video about documents (search important APUSH documents)
I remember I said Malcolm X for the Garvey question and I was pretty confident I was right on that one because I read the Autobiography of Malcolm X book in AP English Language this year.
For the DBQ I used Laissez Faire (When talking about what they wanted the Government to stop helping people) and I talked about the Reagen Presidency being completely different in foreign policy than the Carter Presidency and how the Reagen was a fairly successful president when dealing with foreign nations and that even further gained support for neo conservatsim. Is that enough outside info?
For the second multiple choice question form d about Reagan what did you pick: the distrust for gov or decline in jobs?
@pockysticks
ugh just realized I got one of the MC that came with the political cartoon wrong with your explanation
@bodikbodik There’s also a Form D?
Yeah I had form d
People told me about forms f o and s
@Bodikbodik how was form D? I had form O and it was super hard
People at my school had form s and form m. S was evidently easier than M.
I wish they would release all the forms(MC and Free Response) so I could see if one was easier than the other…form O was hard for me, but easy for others. So maybe Form M would’ve been easier. How does this work with the curve, especially if some exams are easier than others
I can’t say for sure because I don’t know for sure what form o was about. But I’d say that the dbq was very hard and I probably bombed it but the frq was much better
@michelle426 what form did you have bc I had the same dbq and leq as you and I had form O
Ok guys I think this is how the raw scores will be calculated. (I have no idea what scale score this translates to.)
The CB Website gives the following info that I used to get this
Multiple choice: 55 Questions (40% of total score)
Short Answer: 4 questions (20% of total score)
DBQ (25% of total score)
Long Essay/FRQ (15% of total score)
This is what I determined each part be worth in raw points
MC:72 raw points
Short answer:36 raw points
DBQ: 45 raw points
Long Essay/FRQ:27 raw points
180 raw points total.
To get each score:
Take the # of mc questions you get correct and multiply it by 1.31
Take the total number of points you think you got on the short answer and multiply it by 3.
Take the DBQ score you think you got and multiply it by 6.43
Take the FRQ/Long essay score you think you got and multiply it by 4.5
I’ll use myself as an example
MC I think I got about 48/55 so 48 * 1.31 = 62.88
Short Answer I think I got about 4/12: 4 * 3= 12
DBQ I think I got 6/7. 6 * 6.43= 38.58
FRQ I think I got 3/6. 4.5 x 3 = 13.5
62.88 + 12 + 38.58 + 13.5 = 126.96
126.96/180= 70.5%
Tell me what you guys think. I think that is how raw scores are going to be calculated.
@RHSclassof16 I hope this is the way it will be. When I calculated everything, I got 131.5/180. idk if that is good enough for a 5…
For those of you who had form M, what outside info did you use for the dbq? The only things I could think of that weren’t mentioned in the documents were the Clean Air Act and then Teddy Roosevelt’s conservation efforts and national parks for synthesis…
@RHSclassof16 The best part about that weighting: Each point on the DBQ counts for a little more than 6 multiple-choice questions.
Best case scenario:
With a 45/55 MC, 12/12 SAQ, 7/7 DBQ, 5/6 FRQ = 162.03/180 = 90%
Definitely a 5.
What My Score Probably Will Be:
With a 40/55 MC, 11/12 SAQ, 6/7 DBQ, 4/6 FRQ = 141.98/180 = 79%
Definitely could be a 4 but it could be a 5 based on past scales.
Worst Case Scenario:
With a 35/55 MC, 9/12 SAQ, 5/7 DBQ, 3/6 FRQ = 118.5/180 = 66%
Definitely could be a 4 but it could be a 5 based on past scales.
I’ll predict a 51/55 MC, 10/12 SAQ, 5/7 DBQ, 5/6 FRQ…that would translate to a 84%. This seems way too high lol
