Uhhh everyone here is still hoping for a 5? I’m glad you guys think you have a chance, while I know I don’t!! I probably for a 3 or a 4 now. That score distribution ruined all hope.
I took APUSH my junior year and a week before the AP Exam, my teacher made our last test in the class a mock ap exam where we all had to take a full length ap exam that was similar to the new curriculum, and when we got scores back, i got an 87…so, I’m still hopeful!
Someone told me that the Native American question was thrown out (they said they had a relative that scores) but I’m not sure if I believe it. Either way the NA question was actually one of the easier SAQs for me so I’m kinda upset if that’s true.
wait wait wait… I’m so dumb, I know a teacher at the reading and he told me that the native american SAQ was thrown out! Oh gosh, why didn’t i remember this info!
WAIT. Are you serious?? It was thrown out completely??
EDIT: If this is true, I am so grateful and I definitely got a 5 then.
I’ll be upset if they really did throw the Native American question out. That one was pretty easy for me. If you knew the geography/environment of the regions they provided you could assume how the tribes lived in them. (Great Plains tribes followed buffalo nomadicly, tribes on the coast fished, etc)
If they remove that question how does it affect scoring the exam?
@cityonanocean yes it’s true, I mut have overlooked the info cause i was reassured haha, but yeah its been thrown out!
@TotallyTrudy dont worry! they give a special curve for student who had this exam, it’s what my apush teacher told us when we shared the info with her. She made us go over the FRQs the week after the ap exam (dreadful and nervewracking)
If this is true, my only question is why did Trevor Packer not just state the question was thrown out rather than “lie” (using the word very gently here). He said they only posted the most commonly given exam. But I knew that couldn’t be right because most people got that exam.
@samuraiman26 I think everyone got the same exact exam…no one in my school got the other question.
I don’t think he lied, we really could’ve gotten the uncommon exam, plus there’s a lot of stuff going on in AP that we aren’t exposed to know about.
I was really feeling like I got a 4 or 5 but now i’m not sure…what about that last short answer? Everyone in my school had it! I think I did decent on it so I hope it wasn’t thrown out.
I didn’t have the released exam. Some people in my school had the released exam but it was not Form O but Form S.
I’m almost positive the released exam was and is always form O. I had form O and the exam was identical to the one posted except for the last SAQ, which I would like to get more information on. Was it thrown out? If so, how does this affect the curve? What happened to it and why was it thrown out? Was it because they gave too many questions prior to 1607?
I need answers lol
@baller55 it wasnt in time period
Omg I pray that it was thrown out! I got to that question and just about died right then and there… I did not review anything about the geography of the nation before 1492. I was just trying to remember everything I could from AP World History.
It was in the period. The first time period was from 1491 to 1607 on purpose so that they can ask a question that states “prior to 1492;” however, they said that only 5% of the exam could include that time period and that saq alone is 5% of the exam.
@2016seniorga
It is.
Period 1: 1491–1607

@baller55 yeah I know, that’s what I meant. it was an excessive amount of material not in the set amount of each time period
