Unfortunately I just received the book the beginning of this week. I'm halfway through spring break and I have only finished a third of the book! It takes me an hour to do each chapter (thoroughly highlight and read). I have read most of the material before but there's so much that I forgot.

How can I more efficiently and effectively prepare for the test? I want a 5.

oh my gosh you are a fast reader, yankeedoodle. I also got the AMSCO book recently and haven’t even started… (thanks so much for all that time during Easter break lol…so much homework and had to study for chem SAT 2 )
Anyways, when you guys study with AMSCO, do you just read and highlight?
Or do you take notes when you read it?
Which would be more efficient if I start studying this weekend which gives me approximately 2-3 weeks before the exam?

if you want a 5, try the review book 5 steps to a 5, i got a 5 last year and i owe it to that book, also try flipping through the website historyteacher.net great source of info

I wouldn’t recommend taking notes, which only slows down your reading. Read the chapter, take the quiz at the end of each chapter, and then define all of the key terms in Word or something. Really helps.

i sometimes take notes but that slows things down waaaay too much considering i highlight with 5 different colors. It takes me an hour for each chapter. I need to find a better method of doing this. 3 days of break left and I only finished 13 chapters! D:
