<p>yeah, if you mangaed to get at least 38 right, and 9s on all your essays you can get a five. 43 right and 7s on your essays will get you a 5, and the chart continues to both extremes.</p>
<p>How are the essays scored? I'm new to the AP scene....this was my first one.</p>
<p>They are out of 9 (all three).</p>
<p>also, they're scored holistically, which means that the grader will take the essay in its entirety and give it a number from 1-9, instead of methodically taking off a point for grammar mistakes and 0.5 for an incorrect date, etc. the score reflects the essay overall.</p>
