bump 10 char

American History: A Survey By Alan Brinkley

American Pageant is a good textbook. I don't know the publisher or author though.

Use Brinkley

american pageant is very good.

The National Experience

i didn't like american pageant... it was an easy read, but it's hard to put things together b/c it doesn't really give you the "main" ideas that you need for the AP exam. that was usually supplemented in class by my teacher.

My class used American Pageant and we had AMSCO which was good at putting the big pic together.

American Pageant by Bailey, and two other people. Oh yes, Kennedy.

I loved that book. So funny. I wanted to keep it but I don't have $70 something dollars.

American Pageant is very good. I remember a chapter where they were talking about nuns and girls showing their ankles which were supposedly "proposterous" i had a good laugh at that (i wrote on the textbook with a pencil lightly so i could find things, and i wrote a message for the next person, haha) I don't know what that was about but i just remember it being humorous..

Haha I loved the American Pageant. My class was the last one with that set of text books so they had to buy a new set. I told the teacher she should get the new edition of the American Pageant, but she didn't listen to me. They got "The American Experience" or something instead. Lame.

They wouldn't let me buy a copy of the American Pageant unless I payed 70 bucks. I don't even know what they did with them-- probably threw them out.

My favorite line that I can remember was when they called Truman "a scrappy little cuss."

Point is, it's a good textbook.
