I’m a junior this year, and I’ve opted out of most AP courses I’m offered in place of classed I’m taking through SUNY in my highschool. I attend a private school so the number of AP courses is limited anyway. Running the risk of sounding like an idiot, is there much of a difference? Did I make a poor choice?
As long as your Guidance Counselor has agreed to your choice of classes and will check the box that you have taken the “most rigorous” classes offered in his LOR’s to colleges, it should be no problem.
It depends on the specific courses (both the AP courses and the college courses).
