Yes, I know I should search before making one of these threads. I did and I found nothing specific to world.

Right now I have the PR AP World. However, looking at some practice questions makes me think this isn't the best, since most questions seem to deal with comparisons between civilizations and changes over time. PR mostly just states facts. Are there any better books for AP World? The McGraw-Hill one seemed good, but I wasn't sure and did not want to waste money.

As for the SAT II, I saw one from Barron's, but that was it (maybe they didn't have PR in stock). However, I've generally been seeing that I shouldn't touch Barron's for these tests, but I'm not sure about world.

Any recommendations would be great, along with recommendations for good practice tests.

I was also thinking about Math IIc, but I'm also not sure whether I should bother taking that, as most colleges seem to just want two SAT IIs now, and I don't think it would look as good to have 2 Math/Science ones (took Bio already).

I made a topic previously asking for advise on this subject, along with a request for a source of which colleges require 3 SAT IIs, but it didn't get much of a response, so any info on this would also be good.

I read Barron's AP World cover to cover and got a 5... that's the way to go for the AP exam.

The Barrons book for the SAT II is not that great, the info doesnt flow and there is too much of it. The tests in the back are way too specific. For practice with the SAT II, definetly get the Real SAT II book, that has the most accurate test available (only one unfortunately). As for other SAT II books, I would look into Kaplan, I looked at it quickly (after taking the test) and it seemed pretty good. DEFINETLY do not go for PR for the SAT II, its horrible. I would suggest you read the Barron's AP book or you can try Kaplan's SAT II.

The test wasnt that bad (I took it last June), although it does test alot of random knowledge.

Take IIC, it's not that hard(from what I hear, I'll be taking it in June). It is true that most colleges only take your best two SAT IIs, but I think it looks good to have a surplus. Hey, and you never know, you might do better on IIC than on your others.
