I have the PR review book, and I’ve realized after going through it, was probably a bad choice. Ooops. The exams at the back are nice though; how do they compare to the real exam? Easier or harder?

Since the PR is not very detailed, and I can’t get another book, would using the Barrons AP World Review Book be a good idea? Or are the topics completely different?

This is my first SATII, and I’m not quite understanding this… Do all the scores show up on your transcript, or do only the ones you pick show up?

Any other tips appreciated!

All your scores show up

Idk about the SAT II book, but the PR AP World exams were a lot harder.

Personally I'm using Barrons AP, but it's really detailed (~380 pages of material alone). I doubt you can get through it all in a week. Maybe rereading PR would be your best option.

Not sure about this.

Barron's book is pretty nice/detailed, and you can actually go through it in one week, although it's probably going to be hell.

I have the Barron's ap book already, and I've already read through it once for the ap exam. Since I have that one already, is it worht getting the barron's sat as well? Or are they similar enough that I won't miss out on much by not getting the latter? ;)

--> This week is already hell. xD

Barron's SAT history book is wayyy too detailed i feel. There are specific sections i definitely would skip. (Ex. Sassanid Persia, The Moche Peoples, Kush)

If you feel the PR is way too broad, then use Barrons.

Forget reading Barrons SAT II, the AP one is detailed enough. Your time this week is probably better spent doing practice exams. I only read PR for the AP, and going through Barrons I remember a lot of stuff.

Um. I just started the Barron's book today. which gives me exactly 7 days before the test. about 70 pages or 1.2 units/day. YEAH, it sucks like the devil's butthole

^ Wow. GL. I'm feeling good b/c I'm not yet halfway through my review but I was able to get a 740 on a CB test.

Haha, okay... I'll just go back and reread what I wrote in my barron's ap...

Any info on how the spark notes exam compares to the real thing?

Sparknotes does not have a SAT World History practice exam.

omg yeah im scared for this test cus even though I took the AP exam I already forgot a lot of stuff, and I think I did pretty bad on the MC of the world exam.

Does anyone know if divine right means that the king is holy and chose by god, or that the king was chosen by god but NOT holy?

^ I remember this from PR. Divine right means the king has the God-given ability to do whatever he wants. It has nothing to do with whether he is a holy man or not. Contrast this with the Mandate of Heaven, which only allows the current dynasty to stay in power as long as they rule justly.

How is Kaplan for World History?
