AP World History Exam?

Okay, so today I took a mock exam (the real AP exam given last year) as practice. I thought I was prepared taking it since I was almost finished with my PR 2016 Review Book. However, when I got my results I received a score of 32/70 questions correct…that means I got less than 50% of the answers correct. Now I have been working my butt off attempting to maintain my straight A average in the class, I at the very least want a 4 on this exam. I how can I efficiently and effectively prepare to get the score I desire given only 5 days to study (excluding today)?

Hey!

I’ve gotten 4s on every mock exam I’ve taken and I fully give it credit to the AP World Crash Course book (~300 pages) and getafive.com. They are wonderful resources, and don’t take long to get through.

@muhkenzieb Oh hey thanks for the reply! I really want my hardwork to pay off so I’m glad somebody gave their two cents. Fortunately, I have the Crash Course Book already and stopped at about page thirty or so because I wanted to give more priority for my PR book. I’ll definitely look into getafive.com. I heard many compelling reviews about how concise and accurate it is when utilized as a study tool. I’ll be sure to tell you if it worked out or not.

Hey! Did it end up helping you?

@masterblackninja

@muhkenzieb Hi. Yeah it REALLY helped me out on studying. I feel like I greatly improved my writing on the DBQ but I’m unsure about the others (hopefully a 7 on both). Going back and forth skimming the PR and getafive was beneficial but I wish I started in February or so to fullyunderstand the material and minimize the stress. And to anyone reading this thread please don’t wait until the last minute. Study hard and early so you can get at least a 3. I’ll be sure to send you my scores once I have the chance. Praying for a 4! Wish me luck!

@masterblackninja How’d you do?

@muhkenzieb Hey! Yeah I got a 3 :-/. Considering how well the statistics were I thought I was actually going to get a 4, but unfortunately not. Don’t get me wrong a 3 isn’t necessarily bad—just not good; now contemplating all of those late nights with the profound rush of adrenaline in attempt to complete the tedious chapter notes, I would have definitely would have liked to see a higher score to suffice all the hard work and perseverance this class required. However, during the couple months preceding May I was preoccupied with all the other responsibilities I had to do (driving school, family and high school drama, clubs etc.) in addition to another AP class that I shouldn’t have taken (AP Human Geography…how absolutely unbearable this class and teacher was is a whole other story). In short, I was really busy and I had other things that I had to do including this class, so in regard to all the other obligations that needed attention and how I coped and dealt with it, I did an impressive job. Moreover, at first I was disappointed, but the more I thought about it, the more I began to realize how proud I should be for grabbing life by it’s horns and taking initiative—after all I’m only 16. Thanks for showing interest muhkenzieb I appreciate it :).
