The percentages of 4’s and 5’s were very low this year as always. 6.85% with 5’s and 15.65% with 4’s. the scores were lower than last years scores. I thought it was the hardest of my 3 AP exams. this is known to be the hardest AP exam and the scores show that. Do you think AP world is the hardest AP exam(question mainly aimed to the people who took AP world this year, but open to anyone).

How do you know the percentages of 4’s and 5’s were low this year… are the scores out?

score distribution was released for most of the AP exams, trevor packer, head of AP is tweeting the score range from his twitter and someone made a score distribution out of it.

?? AP World History was actually the easiest exam for me this year, out of the four I took. It was a nice break, lol. I was really confident, lol…uh oh.

Always thought AP Chem was the hardest.

I felt okay about it but im feeling a 3. my other exams were much easier. the low amount of 4’s and 5’s last year didnt give me much confidence for this years test.

@ weapon, to me chem would be harder than World history. but world history has an enormous amount of history and my class was only 4 months long so that didnt help. students do worse on world history than any other exam in other words.

It wasn’t the hardest, but APWH is one of those exams that schools tend to cram underclassmen into, so the test taking pool isn’t as strong. The changes this year made it way too easy, so the bar was set extremely high.

^^ i wouldn’t say it was extremely easy but it wasn’t hard. but what made it hard was the HUGE cramming by teachers and teachers trying to rush the class to teach all the AP material. Some teachers also lack training in AP world essay writing so students also have a huge difficulty with that also. The essays averages are extremely low while the mc are closer to average. and @Rivstein, standards aren’t set until after all the tests are scored which was 2 days ago. So apparently the Sophomores(most people that took it) arent prepared and also WH is usual a 1st AP exam so some people dont know what to expect from an AP exam. Cheers.

I know standards aren’t set until the tests are scored. I just said that because the APWH teacher at my school told us that everyone in the instructor forums were talking about the easiness of the test. Yes, the AP teachers have their own forum.

ehh my teacher said it would be difficult just because its tons of crammed material, but some thought it would be easy if the student took it as senior/juniors with other AP exams under their belts. plus the people that standardize always try to put the top 25% within the 4 and 5 range and they wouldn’t even do that this year. :/

I thought the bio distributions were pretty bad until now- geez those whap distributions are bad!
I took it last year, and I didn’t think the MC was that difficult at all. I think it’s mainly the essays that screw people over. If I remember correctly, the average essay score for each essay is around a 2-3.
It was pretty easy for me, couldve gotten 5 instead of a 4 if I didnt screw around with the essays… MCs were definitely very easy, I laughed through it.
If you wanna talk about hard, AP Physics was super hard.
