@Hamlon How did that practice test go?

Anybody else staying home Wednesday and studying? I’m locked in and I’m just flying through the time periods

@BrettEatsPugs I’m studying the 20th century today and tomorrow, but I’m not staying home.

My class finished the 2015 MC test yesterday and we graded it today.
I got a 63/70, so I feel pretty confident about the test on Thursday.

I took the 2012 exam in class as practice. I got 55/70 and 7/9 on all three essays. Is this a 4 or a 5? I also took the PR multiple choice and got 45/70. Is it accurate?

@ming3282 You are well in the range to get a 5. I don’t know about the difficulty of the PR, but if you scored ten points lower on the PR, it is probably harder than the actual test.

I’ve been freaking out over this exam all week!! I’m going to probably pull an all nighter and I’m buying so many energy drinks, I’ll probably crash… but I need to cram periods 5&6 into my brain TONIGHT and review so much more… I got the teacher oz packets and I’ve been watching getafive, after I finish all the getafive videos I’m going to take some practice tests tonight. wish me luck, and good luck to all of you!

@Ahmeda14960 I think I heard that you should be familiar with dates and times periods, but that you shouldn’t memorize them. Example; you don’t have to know the exact date when Columbus discovered America, but know that it was in the late 1400’s

@bummybears you’re welcome (:

@ihavenoideawow I wouldn’t do it.

Omg, I cannot believe that the AP Exam is tomorrow, any tips on studying, doing well on the essays/multiple choice questions?
I barely know anything because my teacher didn’t teach us anything… I basically started studying yesterday. I used the 5 Steps To A Five and reviewed the AP World History Barron’s Flashcards.
I’ve been scoring 35 - 43 questions right on the multiple choice questions.
Do I have hope??
Any tips/advice???
Do any of y’all have an idea of what the test will be on??

GOODLUCK EVERYONE!

HI,

for all of you looking for a practice test here's one i found, it is really useful and a little harder than the real one

I don’t know what to do anymore, loosing so much hope!! Im pulling an all nighter. My teacher recommended it would be best if I reviewed anything that happened after 1450 because we took the 2012 - 2015 released exams and it mostly consisted of those dates. I would recommend you just brush up on anytbing earlier than 1450 and focus on the big picture because everything else is pretty much useless

Quick question: In a DBQ, are you allowed to use a document in more than 1 category/paragraph? For example, could I use document A in both the political AND the economic paragraphs?

Or can the documents only be used once in just one category?

Thanks!

I’m having trouble thinking of specific historical evidence in such a short time for the compare and contrast/change and continuity essays. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to do nail them? Thanks

Yes you can use a document more than once but it wont help you unless you think its clarifying an earlier statement which you may have got wrong but if you used the document correctly there is no point in using a document twice.

@Views same problem here

Of course it is harder…it is pre redesign lol

@AverageTeen2000 That would waste time. Once you use a document, move on.

@AverageTeen2000 @Hamlon my WH teacher actually told us it’s a good idea to use a document in multiple paragraphs- it helps demonstrate that you can pick out several meanings of a document(hence greater probability of expanded core). I mean, if you have problems with running out of time, don’t, but if you know you can finish in time go for it.

Anyone have DBQ tips? (especially those who have already taken it)
I literally ditched school to get extra study time for this, I better get a good score lol
