<p>I was wondering if anyone knew that in the UK do you really need to have passed at least 5 AP tests with the score of 5? Or do they only want you taking at least 5 AP classes? </p>

<p>Generally speaking, universities in the UK care about centralized exams and not classroom grades. Thus the admission requirements will be in terms of your AP exam scores and not in terms of AP classes. </p>

<p>How many APs, which APs and the minimum accceptable scores will depend on the university and program you’re interested in.</p>

<p>^ That’s right - some will be happy with three APs, and with scores of 4 - maybe even 3 for a low level university. But you need to check requirements for each course you’re interested in applying to.</p>

<p>Check the individual colleges for requirements. Generally, nursing isn’t regarded as being a highly academic option, so I don’t think you’d need to get brilliant scores - 4s in three APs would be fine anywhere, and possibly lower in some places. However, I don’t think it’s easy for international students to be admitted at all to nursing courses in the UK (unless you have citizenship of an EU country) because the course is part funded by the National Health Service, and there will be substantial work placements needing a different visa status.</p>

<p>You’d need to get a working visa to do that (unless you happen to already have citizenship in an EU country). Historically, it’s not been hard for nurses to do so, as there’s been a shortage, but funding cuts in recent years have limited the numbers of overseas nurses being recruited as there have been fewer posts to fill. But I think you need real expert advice on this, so I would recommend you email some of the UK nursing programmes and ask them what the chances are.</p>
