Apartment move-out date on the SAME DAY as final exams?

<p>Hi,
I'm about to sign my first apartment lease for housing right next to campus. I noticed that the lease term ends on the final day of the summer semester -- the day of exams.</p>

<p>Is this standard for student apartments? I can't imagine having to worrying about packing up all my stuff at the same time as having to study for final exams. Not to mention how awful it would be to not have a home to come back to after your last final.</p>

<p>Is this something that anyone else has dealt with? Should I maybe ask the landlord to modify the lease?</p>

<p>Chances are you won’t have a final the last day of finals, but if you do, pack up most of your stuff before that and the rest after the final. </p>
