Apartment Vs. Dorm Life (Sixth)

So... I'm an entering freshman for sixth college. I signed up for a triple in the dorms for financial reasons and I ended up getting a single in the apartments, roomed with sophomores of sixth. Several questions, does this completely change my college experience? I mean I can still join clubs/meet people at orientation and classes right?

How are clubs at SD? I found minimal information in the magazine and "get involved" website. Are clubs generally active? I suppose I'll learn everything soon anyhow during the fair.

Sixth seems to have the least events/actual information when searching. What is it like socially?

No, you definitely can not join clubs or meet people in classes because you live in an on-campus apartment???

^bahahahah

oh right silly me. thanks for the advice

Ok fine. Seriously though, I don’t know about social life of Sixth College’s apartments, but I think you’ll be fine. And I think you should consider joining the UCSD Pepband!

hmm, that sounds like fun. I’m assuming you guys play during basketball season? I played percussion in marching band and was in my high school pep band.

^We play all year. We play at volleyball, basketball, water polo, and hockey games and do some other various events. It’s super chill and laid back but a lot of fun.

I’ll definitely look into it. Is it a student based group with sign-ups and whatnot?

^It’s all student run but there’s no sign ups or anything. You can just show up and start playing. There is a $45 fee for your two pepbands shirts and music, but you don’t have to pay it right away. You can come to some practices and games before you decide if you want to stay.
