I’m in, and looking to see who else is. And what are your thoughts on the dorms vs. off-campus apartments. Plus, I hear UCSD is boring – no parties. Anyone else like to kick back, or is it really all about school.

I made it into Sixth too!
Pretty sure off-campus apartments are more expensive than dorms–when I browsed around a bit in the La Jolla area (and some neighboring cities), they were all up there in price, so I think staying on-campus for the first couple of years might be worth it to save yourself the headache.
I actually haven’t heard that UCSD is boring (lots of activities!), but as someone who’s not into parties, I haven’t asked about that scene.

Dorms are way more expensive (sorry #1) but they’re worth it for the social aspect (you’ll meet a lot of girls and guys the way the Sixth dorms are laid out). Try them for your first year.
Lotta kickbacks freshman year. Talk to enough people and be outgoing and you’ll find three parties every weekend easily. It’s college
