<p>I'm wondering if any of you were invited to the national press conference? I wasn't!! LOL. And also, did you get anything from them other than the e-mail because that's all I got.</p>
<p>I was notified about 1-2 weeks ago by e-mail. It wasn't really a nice, pretty e-mail saying congratuations. They said that I won the scholarship but needed to sign a paper that I wasn't conviced of a felony or whatever. They asked for permission to release my name in the press conference but didn't invite me to it. I wasn't called yet. I live in New York.</p>
<p>Wow, I really didn't know it was that competitive. I just applied for it because the application was similar to college applications, so it would be pretty easy to fill out.</p>
<p>Suburbian - what HS do you go to in NY? is it in NYC? im me!</p>
<p>I think they only invited a few kids that they really loved, and some locals, so as to fill out the press tables a bit...</p>
<p>I go to school in Westchester County.</p>
