My son is still waiting to hear on one.

waiting on one local scholarship and one local award

Yes we are waiting to hear from 3..One is a big one, that D. is a finalist for. The other is a renewal. And the other is a small local one.

A few of mine won't have results until June or July. What a wait!

i am waiting on about 3 and one big one...Gates Millennium! its soooooo stressing!:(

There is one we should have heard from by now, but they say they notify winners and losers at the same time, so it is still a possibility, I guess. Another says they only notify winners, so he probably did not get that one. There is also a small local band scholarship through the school, but it will be very small and he won't hear until Band Potluck in June.

Geez that stinks that they only notify winners. All the time and effort involved in the application process.

My son is still waiting to hear from two local scholarships. He recently heard that he won another one for $4K...YIPPEE! Too bad so much award information comes after decisions are made, because inadequate financial aid was key in our decision.

Well good luck to everyone! I'm glad to hear we're not the only ones waiting, I thought maybe that was a bad sign.

Waiting for a national one (finalist for $25,000)...will hear in a few weeks. Oy!

I still have six Im waiting to hear from too - dates range from this month til July - 3 this month, 2 next month and 1 in July... Ditto to justcruzen06 - "oy"

Arrgh D. has been waiting to hear about one she is a finalist on..we were told it would be Monday..but found out last week they hadnt picked the winners yet..
dont know when it will be.

im waiting to hear from about five...praying

Screaming with joy!!!!! We won the big one we were waiting to hear about!

congratulations !

i found out from two rotary scholarships from two cities. the best part is the free luncheon :)!!

both were complete suprises because the two cities are two major bay area cities. i was no doubt up against probably hypsm acceptees with hundreds of hours of community service. on paper i'm an average to below average candidate.. 1330 SAT, ucsd acceptance, and 210 hrs of community service. guess i made up for it in the interview

Last year my D. won a very small one from a local club..but they had a dinner in her honor. At the dinner they read off all her accomplishments. It was so nice!
We are still waiting to hear on 2..one of which is a renewable..so likely. But wow..the one she just heard from is so wonderful.

Angst..would you mind telling us which one that was?

The small one was from a local fish and game club.

We finally got tired of waiting for one national one through my husband's union. According to the application package, we should have heard around the end of April, and they said they notified winners and losers together. So my husband called up the local union, and the secretary there promised to check for us. It turns out they are still deciding on the winners (should be have decided by April 30). So there is still a chance! It is only $1000, but is renewable for four years. It might make it possible for my son to reduce loans or work study, which he would love. so...still praying...

He will probably also get a small band scholarship, but that will likely only be a hundred or two. Will find out June 2 at the Band Potluck.

In addition to the big one D just won.. ..D. got some small ones. One auto renews for 4 years at $1,000 per year. And the other has to be renewed but is renewed if grades are kept up etc. Its for $1,200 a year. She also got a few one time little ones also. She worked really, really hard to win (and find) these. And we are grateful (sp) for every thing.
