APK2100c [curious].

I love Anatomy, and am definitely excited for this class. [I know, nerdy.] However, I was curious as to what the class actually consists and what it is like? [I have Dr. Tillman by the way :)]. And what is the lab like?

P.S. Do we dissect anything?

Thanks.

You basically learn the name of structures. You dont dissect anything in lab. You spend the 3hrs with a lab instructor who goes over all the structures on a model, like the cranial nerves, foramens of the skull, and different muscles. You have two lab practicals. You go to different stations and name that structure. Had siders not tillman.

Sounds like a hoot.

Ohh. Thanks for the infor. I wanted to dissect something lol.

how is siders btw. I hear all negatives but I can't take Tillman since he teaches so late.

I think siders is significantly harder than tillman. Siders grades are based purely on test (3 or 4 I think). Tillman gives small extra credit projects that will help your grade if you dont do so well on the test. I think tilllman curves, siders doesnt. And for me siders asked minute details that you wouldnt think to study. You will be able to pass but you have to really study the material with siders. One more thing, why does he insist on teach the class at 7:25am every semester (8am in summer)?

lol I think he probably just wants to get done with his teaching responsibility as early as possible so that he can have the rest of the day to do more important things. There are some professors who just have to have it that way.

Thats one of the reasons I still live on campus. I know I would not be able to wake up at 6am to get ready, get a bus, and get to class by 7:25am.

I wonder the same thing, and this year I'm staying off campus (score for me). Why couldn't either of them teach at a normal time like 12:45??? Hopefully my other classes can make up the trouble im getting myself into.

I don't mind having a class at 5:00PM. I'd rather stay on campus later to have the better professor, than not. Ugh, But I'm going to hate Physiology if I get Dobson because he ONLY teaches at 7:25AM. How gross.

Thats how I felt too, but I honestly won't go to class considering the class I have before ends at 10:30, that and I have a job.

ok i am confused who are the anatomy and physiology teachers and what times are their classes (summer and fall). and who is the better and/or easier one?

tillman and siders teach 2100c. dobson and another person teaches 2105c. I'm not sure what the difference between 2100 and 2105 because the title is exactly the same.

APK2100c is Anatomy and APK2105c is Physiology. They break up the material into two classes at UF. Anatomy is basically memorizing where all the body parts, bones, nerves, and muscles are in the body. Physiology deals with the functions of these body parts. Dr. Tillman and Dr. Siders teach Anatomy [Dr. Tillman is the better and easier professor]. Dobson and some other professor teach Physiology, and Dobson is the better professor.

thanks for clarifying. :)

which teacher has the earlier/later class and what time are they for sumer and fall?

That's the schedule for Summer <a href="http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/soc/200706/all/applphys.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/soc/200706/all/applphys.htm</a> Scroll down to Summer B and look at APK2100c. Siders is the only one teaching it at 7:25AM [1st period]. He is the harder professor. Here is the schedule for the Fall <a href="http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/soc/200708/all/applphys.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/soc/200708/all/applphys.htm</a> and you can see Siders teaches it either MWF 1st Period or TR 1st Period, and Tillman teaches it TR 10th-11th Periods.

what makes him harder than tillman?

I personally wouldn't know since I haven't taken the class yet. If you go to <a href="http://www.ratemyprofessor.com%5B/url%5D">www.ratemyprofessor.com</a>, look up Siders, and look up Tillman, and you will see how both professors differ and why many students favor Tillman.
