Passing Human Anatomy @ CC?

I'm planning to take ANAT 231 and hear it's gonna be the one of the hardest classes I'll ever have to take at a community college.

For anyone who has taken it, how did you end up doing?

Anatomy is hard anywhere.

Oddly enough, I got an A - very unexpected. It was much more fun and interesting than I had thought it would be. I really enjoyed the class. Go to every class and study as hard as you can for the small quizs so that when the big exams hit you can afford to lose some points - you'll need it. It's certainly not an easy A. It was the one class I devoted most of my time to. Check ratemyprofessors.com and see which instructor has good ratings that's what I did. My teacher gave some extra credit assignments, which really helped.

Why don't you take Human Biology instead?

^ Already taking General Biology so I can't.

What's your major or reason for taking anatomy? Do they both have labs?

^To fulfill Berkely's pre-reqs for psychology majors. General biology does have a lab, but general anatomy does not.

eh jeez...hadn't realized they require two biological sciences (pretty much all with labs) for psychology majors...good luck.

I liked it, but I would make that class a priority if I were you. Certainly would be difficult taking it with another lab class or class that has a heavy work load.

Yeah, what appealed most to you in anatomy?

If it's not too much to ask, may I ask where your anatomy class was taken? Which professor?

The class will be taken in spring of 09' @ Mt.SAC since the only two anatomy teachers @ Fullerton College are one of the worst instructors in Orange County.

Definitely will be a priority, thanks for the heads up.

i took it at city college of san francisco. go to Anatomy and Physiology Homepage this is the webpage for the instructor i had. All the content we went over is on there. It appealed to me because it involves our everyday lives and important issues we should be concerned with.

Aw man, so far away!

I'm in the same boat. Taking Anatomy in the Fall and Physiology in the Spring to meet the psychology prereqs for UCB. Looking forward to it - I love this kind of stuff. Makes me wish I was a Bio major :/

Looking forward to it? Wow, impressive to hear such a thing.
