Jaug1- Right after I typed my post, I realized that I should have used the word "logic" instead of "intellect". They are not inherently one and the same and I meant to imply that many libs use emotion over reason to cast their votes. But, let's not forget, it's the "dumb" voters of the red states who feed you, send a disproportionate amount of funding to the blue states through federal funding in the way of pork, and even come to the rescue of blue states during times of tragedy ala 9/11. And, if you're inferring that the public school system in blue states like CA is superior to those of most red states, I'd have to strongly disagree with you.

Kissy, I think you have that red state blue state thing backwards, as well as the emotions thing. Red states receive a disproportionate amount of funding. And don't forget about Floriday which receives relief funds EVERY year.

did anyone realize that kerry gave up. allthough he was going to lose anyway, he should of had enough spirit to stick through his campaign and finish the race.
Now i ask, what do you think would of happened if president kerry just gave up on a war on our home soil?

Fist of all, Uc-benz. I'm sorry but there are many examples of killing and hate in the name of Christianity. The crusades, the salem witch trials, racism in the first part of US existence. In fact, the KKK sites the bible and their Christian religion as the basis for their beliefs. Bombing abortion clinins and doctors. And, mormon fundamentalists who force incest and basically rape teenage girls.
I'm certainly not saying Chrisitianity is bad or all Christians are hateful. In fact, I think most are not. But the point is, I think most Muslims are good also. It's the same in all religions. In history, and fanaticism today, people do horrible things in the name of religion. But it is not fair to judge any religion as a whole based on those things.

carbfreenoodles: Kerry conceding because he was getting tremendous pressure from everyone, including some of his own assistants and campaign people, many of his constituents, and the media. I mean, for all you who always say the media is rah rah Kerry. That morning what I saw on the main stream media is everyone saying, "Well, I sure hope Kerry doesn't put us through days and days of waiting for Ohio to be counted," and "Gosh, Kerry says he won't conced because....but the math shows there is no way he can win." He didn't want to give up, you could see it in the pain in his face. But everyone was making him out to look very bad, especially because he didn't have the popular vote as Gore did in 2000, and if he would have held out for days it would have made him look very bad and hurt his rep. with the majority of people.
