All-American Terrorists

Chemical irritant empties Islamic Society of Greater Dayton's mosque

New Rule: You're not allowed to refer to Al Qaeda as Islamic terrorists unless you're willing to refer to abortion clinic bombers and mosque gassers as Christian terrorists.

Islamic terrorists have killed thousands of Americans in the past decade. I would be surprised of right-wing fringe groups in America have killed more than two dozen.

Sorry, but Islamic terrorists are the bigger problem.

Religion is the bigger problem.

edit: if you have a hard time understanding that this is a religious war rather than a war on terrorism...well, just give it up.

If you want to go by sheer numbers, more people have been killed in the name of Jesus than Mohammad.

The KKK have had a long history of terrorizing many people, mostly blacks, in the name of Christianity.

The head of the mercenary enterprise Blackwater is a fundamentalist Christian. Blackwater mercenaries are notorious for their "exploits" in Iraq.

Cuse, your limited empathy is showing.

I'm talking about today's problems (ie the issues that we are voting on), which is why I said "in the past decade".

^actually christianity is still the most historically violent religion a lot of blood has been shed in the name of christ. islam come second i think.

And how many people were killed in the name of atheism? Remember Stalin's purges? Easily millions...

^um stalin didnt kill people with an atheist agenda like the three faiths have. he killed because he was a dictator so you cant say that it was atheism that killed people.

That's weak. That's like saying that the atomic bombs were dropped in the name of Christianity because Truman and the bomber pilots were Christian.

Check your facts before you start trying to talk.

About 100,000 monks and nuns were killed in Stalin's purges against the Russian Orthodox Church between 1938-1939. The tens of millions of people that died were from his dekulakization initiatives (which were based on class/social distinctions), forced collectivization, and the 1932-1933 famine in the Ukraine. You can argue that the purges against the Orthodox Church were done "in the name of atheism", but not much else.

^nbachris futher illustrated my point thank you mate

There is no difference between the fundamentalist christians and the islamic terrorists, except that the christians can afford to pay for an army, while the islamic terrorists have to blow themselves up.

They both say they're on God's mission to kill the other side.

think about it, the phrases "islamic agenda," "christian agenda," and "jewish agenda" almost strike confusion or fear in your subconscious because they are most certainly related with undesirable consequences. however, an "atheist agenda" sounds safe and a big "huh" is in your mind because you know atheism isn't as violent or intolerant as adherents from the three faiths are. ironically i like religion but have to point the facts.

muslim agenda: 9/11 and jihadis
christian agenda: holy crusades; inquisition
jewish agenda: fist roman-jewish war

atheist agenda: stalin's great purge? um, no.

Stalin's purges weren't done in the name of atheism. He did them so that the state could be the only institution brainwashing the masses. He didn't want to compete with the church telling people what to do.

Whoa whoa whoa, what about those Scientologists?!

Now their bad news.

^amb i used the great purge as a false example in relation to what another poster said

I know, I was responding to Cuse0507.

So you are basically equating the US Armed Forces to Al Qaeda? Nice one; hope you never have any plans to run for office.

No, I'm equating Palin and fundamentalist christians with Al Qaeda; they hire an army to fight for them.

They believe it's God's mission and it's "His Will" to kill the enemy. How is that different from islamic terrorists, except the christians have enough money so that they don't have to do the dirty work?

techinically, the US Armed Forces IS Al-Qaeda, after CIA'ing endless countries in the past.
