App Developer - Harvard Supplementary Materials

Hey there,
I’m an app developer and have published a few apps on the store. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to highlight those on SlideRoom. Could I post a couple of images of my app or link them to videos of advertisements for my app on there using the Other section of the SlideRoom thing or would it be a bad idea?

Harry Lewis (https://www.seas.harvard.edu/directory/lewis), who taught both Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, is a member of the full Admissions committee. If you submit your apps via Slideroom or provide a link to them, your apps will probably be reviewed by the Professor Lewis – so make sure they are top notch. It also wouldn’t hurt to supply a link to the code to demonstrate how it all works as well as your knowledge of CS languages.

Wow, that’s awesome! Ok, I could probably submit them via Slideroom choosing the Other option.

Not only Lewis is on the committee but his wife is the director of Admissions at Harvard (not the Dean). If he reviews a file it is because of the requests by regional AOs, which means that OP will have to make out of the subcommittee first.

Would that be a good thing then to submit app related stuff? I really tried on it and there is a lot of tech related to it.

It’s Harvard, so I would imagine more than a handful of students interested in CS have created apps and are submitting them with their applications. That means that you will be competing with the best of the best in CS. Only you know if your apps are up to the challenge of competing with the likes of these HS students: https://www.lifehack.org/articles/money/wanna-millionaire-learn-from-these-12-kids-who-already-are.html
