My application status was changed from "application under review" to "Thank you for your application!". Good sign, Bad Sign? What's the deal?

They are just getting their message ready to send to you. The rest of it is something like this:

Thank you for your application! You had an outstanding application and we are sure you will find success at some institution. We wish you the very best wherever you end up at.

my application is still under review
maybe I should kidnap them and hypnotize them to accept me? :D

ok where do you check this lol. did they send out an email with a link?

Yeah, they send a confirmation email that includes a link to the status check site. It also has your username and password in it to check.

oh yeah found it ahah

can someone post the link to the application status site?

Here’s the link to check app status, good luck to everyone

Might it mean that Rice has received our mid-year report? (The same change happenned to my account) It does seem odd that there would be two versions of the “application complete” page…

mines still says application under review… :(

Mine says still under review as well. That probably means I’m on the fence. :(

ahh i was super worried too so I just called admissions
apparently it’s no big deal at all…
The lady on the phone said that it should be “thank you” on the first page and then when you click on “Admissions Requirements,” it should say “application under review” for all applicants…

Elrod

If the rest of the letter said that wouldn’t that be a rejection?

Wow I never got a confirmation from them…guess I should e-mail them right now.

Elrod’s message is pure, as in 24 carat pure, bull $hit. montecristo is correct above.

^ I agree. If Rice had actually said that, they wouldn’t have used incorrect grammar by ending a sentence with a preposition.

hey did anyone who got a likely letter have this as their application status? just curious. looking for trends/patterns

Just chill, it’s better not knowing.

Thanks for the link.
Hopefully after e-mailing the e-mail address listed on that page I’ll be able to get my online login info so I can check the decision online April 1st instead of waiting for it in the mail.
