Hi there, my stats fit the criteria for the Honors College; however, I was not accepted. Is it possible for me to appeal my decision and request an appeal so that I can be considered to be in the Honors College? I know switching in to the college after a semester or 2 is fairly simple, but I would love to start my freshman year as an Honors College student
hi, did you end up appealing? i’m thinking of appealing as well
@collegebanana how would one go about appealing?
@mikescott there is some info here https://www.umass.edu/admissions/undergraduate-admissions-appeals-policy and we’re also going to call undergraduate admissions
Hi guys. Current student here! I just wanted to let ya’ll know that I did not get accepted into CHC despite getting a 4.3 GPA in Highschool (Out of 4.0). It has ALOT to do with SAT and ACT and is also a bit random. However, despite not being in CHC I still have just as many opportunities and the classes are just as good. After your first semester, you can apply in, and it is alot easier to get in then. But honestly, many people, myself included find that it is not really worth it and just alot more work. Also you can still graduate w/ honors without being in the CHC.
The criteria given on the HC website does not guarantee a spot. PS- I think those stats was posted a few years ago. GL!
