Appeal Letter! Advice!

I'm literally so ****ed!!! When I was signing up for the 2010-2011 Spring semester I had to write an appeal letter stating why I did so poorly in my 2007 semester. The appeal letter was to get myself off for academic suspension so I can get my financial aid. Fast forward to today, and I receive an email saying that I'm not meeting qualifications and I need to write another appeal letter for the 2011-2012. I'm passing all my classes with B's and everything is going well. Turns out this is a new thing in their system and their trying to get students to stop dropping out and coming back in. These are the reasons why I'm back on suspension:

You are not meeting the standard. Your cumulative earned credits percentage is below the minimum standard. You must file an appeal.
My data:54.54% What it should be: 67%

You are not meeting the standard. Your term earned credits percentage is below 50 percent.
My data: 46.15% What it should be: 100%

I have the original appeal letter here and I was going to just rewrite it with some additional information about this semester. Should I just do that? Or should I write a new one? I am 100% in the other one and if I was to rewrite it, it would be pretty much the same thing just with more information added.

Anybody able to help : /

Oh come on…

^From the looks of the notification, it doesn’t sound like it’s a function of the grades you’re receiving. It sounds like you haven’t taken enough credits to this point to qualify for continuation of your financial aid. Maybe I’m reading it wrong, but that would be my guess. If that’s the case, I don’t know how you’d appeal it. It’s not a case of extenuating circumstances that prevented you from doing well in your classes, you simply didn’t take enough credits. Good Luck.

Sounds to me like your lack of credits from 2007 are being factored into a cumulative credit calculation to determine your current standing. You apparently can’t escape this formula. You’ll just have to jump through this procedural hoop of appealing each year. If they granted your appeal last time, they surely will again. It’s a pain, but not really a big deal. You should chat with your advisor to see what language would be appropriate in the appeal. Be sure to stress that you have accumulated the normal number of credits this year and have achieved a respectable GPA. Congratulations on pulling yourself up by your bootstraps!

Thank you for the responses.
