Appeal Letter

A jump in SAT scores is a completely valid excuse for an appeal. I would say give it a shot, but try not to come across as entitled (for example “my grades were fine I should have been accepted!”). Also, sending a paper letter may come across as more thoughtful than an email.

I know I’m a little late, but I am also sending in an appeal. I talked to an admissions person, and she said for appeals they do look at senior grades if requested. I have no idea how true this is. My freshman and sophomore grades were not good, my junior grades were fine. However my senior year I am taking higher level classes and had a GPA boost. The lady on the phone told me she has seen 8 appeals and only 2 have been reversed. This number is higher than what I thought. Again, I have no idea how true this is.
