Appealing Financial Aid

Anyone know who to appeal the FAFSA/CAL Grant? CAL grant has given me nothing even though my family makes ~100k a year with six people in the family (4 of whom are going to attend college at one time or another). I have gotten into UC Berkeley, and they are not giving me any aid whatsoever aside from a 300 dollar "scholarship." Right now they are expecting me to pay 25 grand a year which is ridiculous.

My EFC is 17,762. Help!

Hey I am wondering the same thing. What should I do to appeal Emory's financial aid. The gave me 8500 in loans when my efc is 0 ahhhhh

California Student Aid Commission - What's this year's income asset ceiling?

Your family income level appears to be above the Cal grant income ceilings.

Your FAFSA EFC is too high for federal grants.

The number of kids only affects the EFC when 2 or more are in college at the same time - then the parent portion of the EFC is divided between the number of students in college.

Did they offer you any loans?

Yes, they gave me some Federal PLUS! loans and some subsidized loans along with work study. I'm not afraid of work study, I just don't want to screw up college for my three younger siblings just so I can go to college. I am apply for scholarships right now.
