Appealing Honors Decision

Hey, I was accepted into the College of Science this year with a major in Chemistry.

I received a 10k scholarship, but it only starts Sophomore year, which I found weird, but I'm still happy!

I heard that there are some perks to being in the Honors program, and I was wondering if there would be a way to appeal the decision of not being honors.

No, but you can apply either after 1st semester or 1st year (I forget which one).

I got accepted into the honors program yesterday and was doing quite a bit of research on it since I had no idea what it was (haha…) It seems like there is no way for you to get into it unless you attend and then send in an application for it. Check these two links:

What schouarhip did you receive that only starts sophomore year? I’ve never heard of that. Is it possible you misread it? Scholarships are generally listed as “per year” for freshman year and then “per semester” after that because of co-op.

What are your stats? The bar for honors admission is higher than you might think.

The 10K a year on my kids acceptance was the same, from soph up. Chem eng.
