Appealing???

is anyone going to appeal? i want to, but it seems like it's impossible to even get consideration...

i wouldn't reccomend appealing. i know many ppl's first reaction after getting rejected would be to think about appealing. but if you give it a few days, the pain will slowly go away and you'll be able to think more clearly. after that, if you still believe that you deserve a spot at UCLA, then you will have to present new information that would somehow convince the admission officers that they "must" overturn their decision. i wouldn't think about that now though..

does anyone else feel like appealing?

is transferring from ucsd into ucla easier? now does the transferring process work between uc's?

Too bad it's not easy to tell how far off you are, like at UCSD. I want to appeal but there's not really anything I can say =/

What points would you have brought up if you were going to appeal?

^transfer from other UC's

Students should only appeal if you new information to offer, in order to produce a convincing argument. Look at the average statistics. If you feel that your academic record is comparable (as in higher), then by all means start thinking why you should be reconsidered.

Appeals are put in place so that highly qualified students that may have been overlooked may be reevaluated in a new light.

unlimitedx i sent you a private message with a question

never mind, it says your private message box was full. it was a question regarding appeals

Are the stats for fall 2007 out?

Concur. Thinking about it now would be a knee-jerk reaction. For that guy who got a 2380 SAT I and was rejected, then yea, he would want to reevaluate his application and think of any other positive angles he could give his ECs, academics, etc. Sometimes, it's all in how you describe an event.

starrynight u can send me a private message now.

If we appeal, do we put our UCLA id number at the top?

Nice username ;)
