Appealing

Can I appeal Brown’s decision? I really believe I deserved to get it :(

APPEAL!!! Also, if you show the financial aid officers a better offer from one of Brown's peer institutions (ex. any othr Ivy League) they will change it! But please appeal. I made the mistake of not doing so last year.

i want to appeal too! do you know how to go about doing this?

I think gumgum meant Brown's admission decision, not the financial aid decision.

haha so did i unfortunately. =(.

yeah, if you're talking about the admissions decision, do not appeal. Face it, you didn't get in. I know it's tough to accept, I was in your situation, probably worse. There's really nothing you can do. Just forget about it, and move on.

I'm really confused about the decision, because when I had my interview, my interviewer practically said I'd get in ......

He actually said that I was "smarter" than him .........I didn't know how to take that... I guess I was getting (BS)ed or something.

Your interviewer has absolutely no control over your admissions decision, unless maybe s/he is some brown alum celebrity with major pull who really thinks you should get in.

he was really really really rich, the entrance to his office was like a golden ballroom hall :) and I'm not kidding either....

Doesn't matter-- interviews account for less than a percent, I'd venture, in just about all cases. Sorry the way things worked out, but there really is no process at this point to go through other than choosing from other wonderful choices I'm sure you have.
