Applicants for fall 2006

has anyone applied or thinking of applying to Baylor?

i applied and got accepted.

are you going? i sent in my application yesterday

i dont know yet, still waiting to hear form the 5 other places i applied to. :/

i was accepted.....but i doubt ill go because of the cost....it would take a lot of financial aid to get me here....but you never know....baylor is a really good school

I applied online in the middle of Dec. They didn't have my status posted online in 5 business days like they said they would, and I still haven't heard from them or know if they even acknowledged my app.

I am applying online, to Baylor. Is that something you would advise against since they haven't sent anything back about your application?

the same thing happened to me...i have heard nothing

I say that we give them a call and ask, 'What's up with my app?' or something. Maybe the Snap App.'s the better choice with faster response, but the deadline's today so it'll be too late. I think that it's okay to apply online but just be sure to call them and ask whether or not they received it, which I will do shortly, if they show no indication of receipt.

I gave them a call, and they said that they received some of my materials like SAT scores and application and lack the HS transcript. They told me that I can check online with my ID which I did, but there's still no status check there, 'No information is available at this time.' so that's still a problem, not being able to check the status online.

I applied online and got accepted a week or so ago. But yes, they should send you an email letting you know that your application has been completed and is currently under review by the admissions committee.

When will we get our decisions for those who are waitlisted?

I got into the Honors program :)

I applied back in September and was accepted in about five days.

I also applied to the Honors College, and I don't see why I wouldn't make it (4.0 GPA with tons of AP classes and National Merit Finalist status), but I don't recall ever getting an official acceptance letter to the Honors program. I got a weird e-mail that didn't seem very official and wasn't very clear, but that was it.

I really hope I won't have to go to Martin or Penland, because I really enjoyed the environment in Alexander.

does the honors college sound worthwhile to you? aim me at mavsfan4life23 if you wnat to talk about baylor.

I'm in the honors program at Baylor. Feel free to ask any questions about it, or the school in general.

:)

i'm thinking of applying and i think i could get in (3.2 gpa + 1120 SAT) but i'm not that religous at all so i was wondering if any one knew how big religion and church play into life at Baylor?

It is obviously a Christian institution. That should say something.

As for the mandates, freshmen have to take two semesters of Chapel (which is once a week) and two Bible Studies classes (The Christian Scriptures and The Christian Heritage). Other than that, I'm not sure there's anything else.
