Applicants! Let's get to know each other.

Oh wow! That’s awesome and pretty cool at the same time. That’s not too bad, when I first heard it in 4th grade (First year in MI), I did not even know what to think? My guess was either hitting someone lol or popcorn.

lol, hitting someone actually makes more sense :stuck_out_tongue: The one good thing that came out of it though is the IS tuition, lol.

True, no one can argue with cheaper admission to one of the best schools in the nation!

1st thing that comes to my mind bout thailand - getting lost and crying. visited when i was lik 6 and got lost about 15 times in 5 days. fortunately my parents always found me but like those times were scary.

“What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “Thailand” (don’t worry, I’m not gonna be offended, as a person in Thailand I’ve heard all the stories :stuck_out_tongue: wanna know what the view is abroad. So go ahead be honest)”

Err… honestly? The first thing I think of is probably depraved sex tourism. Not that I actually think that industry represents the country in any way, but it’s probably one of the main things that Thailand is (in)famous for in the West. Other than that, for me its probably the old “entering an airport door sideways” joke.

As for the other questions, I’m most looking forward to Umich’s top math program, particularly the 295-396 sequence (I’m a math major, obviously). I don’t know anything about sports, I can’t speak anything other than plain old English, but I love Star Wars!

Also, technically I’m a transfer student since I basically attended community college instead of high school. Still consider myself an incoming freshman, though (its not really different than those kids who took a bunch of AP classes and whatnot in high school). Just thought I’d throw that out there.

CollegeParanoia, LOL! That’s such a cute pop story. :3

It’s been a while since anyone has posted on this thread. While we anxiously wait for our decision, someone should post or at least get some conversation going. Any ideas?
