Accepted/Denied?

Since I haven't recieved a final decision on Michigan yet, maybe I oculd compare it to other colleges. Where else has everyone who has recieved a decision applied/accepted/denied?

I still haven't recieved a decision from Michigan, but I've recieved admission to Penn State, Purdue, and Wisconsin all from out of state. I have 2 nominations to the Naval Academy, and one to the Military Academy. I haven't been denied anywhwere yet, and I just hope getting in to these other places is an indicator of what I can expect from UM.

deferred from Michigan, postponed from Wisconsin, still waiting on penn state, and in at indiana

stats

700m 560cr 550w

3.765 weighted
3.49 uw
3.25 Michigan gpa

live in ohio

From Ohio? Glad to hear you're not going for Ohio State.

Which college did you apply to? I applied to Engineering with 800M/590V/630W, and about the same UM GPA, I just don't remember exactly what it was.

lsa, business major

Anybody else who already has heard from Penn State, Purdue, Wisonsin, Army, or Navy, and what is your current status with Michigan?

In at Wisconsin, Boston College, pending decision from UMich (first choice), UMD, UNC.

For deferred applicants, who are your semester grades?

Haven't received a decision from UMich (Submitted in October!!!) but I was already accepted to University of Chicago, Georgetown, UNC-CH, Notre Dame and Boston College (Honors Business Program). 780/760/660 (M/V/W) and a 4.2 W GPA, Don't know UW. (11 APs)

I submitted mine in October also. Do many people apply from your school or area? Nobody from my school applied last year.

Still waiting on Michigan (they completed my app on 12/23... submitted 11/15.) Anyway, got into Ohio State and Minnesotta. I am still waiting on Columbia, Florida, Berkeley, Texas, JHU, Washington, and Maryland, but Maryland should release decisions this Friday. (Stats: 3.3UWGPA,1410SAT)

I am the only one who applied from my school this year or last year. I think only a few people have applied in our history, it just isn't a very attractive school around here.

I'm very surprised you haven't been accepted yet C-Revs. Your stats and courseload should have had you in by December. It might be worthwhile to call admissions to see if they have all your stuff.

C-Revs- Not many people have applied from my school either. It could be that they just want to get more familiar with your school before deciding. Also, right before I was deferred, someone else from my school applied, so maybe that had something to do with it. Where in PA? I used to live in Western PA.

klp- I had similar stats and got accepted to Penn State, Purdue, and WIsconsin(I think at the similar level as Ohio State/Minnesota). I'm also waiting on my top choices and better schools.

I am from South-Eastern PA, A northern suburb of Philadelphia.

Umm, Wisconsin is NOT at the same level as Minnesota and Ohio State. Minnesota and Ohio State are very low in the rankings while Wisconsin is 34th in the nation.

That's why I said I think. I'm not an expert on Minnesota and Ohio State because
a) I didnt apply to either
b) I really don't like Ohio State

I just didn't want to undervalue them

I got into Purdue and Wisconsin already (and Urbana if anyone cares

3.25 UW GPA

6 AP Classes
1 Honor
A couple extracirriculars, nothing much and nothing with big awards.
Still waiting for UMich

C-REV, I take it you want to major in Economicsor Business. If that's the case, you are already all set with Chicago. Notre Dame and Georgetown are decent B-Schools. Forget the other schools. If you get into Michigan, and I am pretty sure you will get into Michigan, then it gets interesting. Deciding between GU, Chicago, ND and UM is definitely not easy.

Yeah, I intend to major in economics or business and international relations. Its going to be a tough decision... and I still have to wait for regular decision. I guess it is a good dilemma to be in because they are all great schools, if that makes sense at all.

Judo-

Are you out of state? When'd you apply?

I have almost the same GPA, SAT's, AP's, and sounds like similar EC's/recs
