I like math the best b/c my math class is a super easy honors algebra since I had a scary hard third grade teacher, I have’t learned anything really new.

My history teacher thinks that I’m wierd because I thought that the Magna Carta was much better than the Constitution which is so third grade

She then spends three weeks explaining a sentence in Common Sense. The whole class is like “duh…”

3 seconds…

The magna Carta is cool and most stuff in US history is new for me. What’s ironic is ive been in the us less than a year and i appear to have better background knowledge than many of its citizens.

lol BlueRaven…

and that’s so true Paula…like she thinks we don’t comprehend what she is teaching us, and most of the kids in the class are doodling or talking to friends because she talks to us like babies and keeps repeating the same lesson over and over again…

I hate in algebra that we spent about a fortnight or mabye a month on slope intercept form. i cant blame the teacher, the class averafe on ourr quiz was about a 65% but it didn’t seem that hard to me.

ohhhh…we did that…omg i totally bombed the section with Word Problems…crap i forgot what it was…

BlueRaven1, I guess you come from the UK? You can PM me if you don’t want to give away your information.
LOL people are so addicted to this board. I visit CC for like 3 times everyday and I still can’t catch up.

So true assign. English is probably my favorite subject I like discussing and writing essays. The reason I don’t like History is because the teacher doesn’t remeber where we are at and is always giving us projects. Sometimes she doens’t even tell us when we have quizzes until the day before. The class i’m in is also pretty bad; the kids bring out their phones and start video taping what’s going on when the teacher isn’t looking. I like my math teacher alot but math is so much harder then last year.I will read through the whole chapter but then the test will be much harder (I am in Geometry…I like algebra much better)
Blue raven I go to a private school and all the teachers are really supportive though and there is a person in the middle school office who makes sure all the things get sent to the schools. Even though she does that, I don’t think you have less a chance of getting in…anyway more people from public schools are accepted then private.

but there are more public students to be accepted? I mean more people in the US attend pulic than private so theres probably more public applicants. Wouldn’t that scew the stats. I have no knowledge of statistics; Ill have to ask my father. Or anyone with decent knoledge of statistics could comment?

There are more people from public applying so more of them get accepted. Since there are less private school people applying less of them get accepted so I think it’s porportionate. In Exeter out of 349 people admitted 54% were from public and 46% were from private for the 2009-2010 year.

oh really? I thought there would be a little more public school students (freaks out)

I know it’s scary! Have you got your SSAT yet? Mine was totally unexpected and made my christmas.

How did everyone do?!

I think everyone did fine…considering my magic has rubbed off on them because they are members of CC…;)

I did fine in everything except math and it brought my score down by like 10 points!

My scores are supposed to come tomorrow! So scared…!

Math stopped me from getting a 99… Im surprised it didnt at 86 bring it down more.

BlueRave don’t worry you got an awesome score!

you probably got the better score out of the QofL
i get my tomorrow…so scared

I’m sure you did fine!!! isconvinently forgetting how much I hated people telling me that QofL is predestined for awesomness/ Good luck though! The SSat doesn’t matter that much, as long as your in the range i dont think they care.
