Applicants Of 2011!

Noo I am a MALE ! Lol I did not know that I came off as such a feminine person xD I feel so weak now… LOL

you guys just share your names via PM… That’s SO creppy and…you’ve been wondering who the other person is for months right?

[I thought Swiss was female too] haha maybe get too many Ss.

Noo I am a boy xD

Yahh I read your post above. Sorry!

so far the only real person i sort of know on CC is gonnastop (but i still dont know her name!!!gosh…)

You’ll definitely know more once you go to Exeter this September!

For those of you looking to apply in 2011, make sure to have plenty of extracurricular activities, some community service involvement, and one area of specialty should stand out, such as music or sports. This are very important. The top schools want well-rounded students with a passion for learning. The students who are truly passionate about learning happen to involve themselves in many activities. Clearly, the schools do not simply want one-dimensional academic “geeks.” Good Luck!

I feel offended :p. I got in and I’m no EC superstar. I am a nerd though! So have hope.

if I don’t get off the waitlist, I might just be a part of this thread! hey guys, lol…

Go 2011 applicants!!!

good luck guys itll be worth it

can you get into a good BS without having contact with a specific department. Like if you aren’t really skilled in any sport or instrument, and you don’t update the head of the department??

Yes.
points to self

I’d think so, you just have to prove to them that you’re unique and amazing! (:

okay good, I keep reading posts about how sending in videos and highlights is essential and I don’t really think I could do that

dont worry. i think cc (myself included) overemphasizes the fact of hooks. I have tons of friends at top notch schools without anything special. for instance, one of my friends who goes to exeter only had three ecs. (I think its pretty funny) eating, sleeping, living. Honestly besides being a straight a student without any special talent got her in. so no worries. remeber recruited athletes/muscisians only make up a small portion of the bs

I have those same 3 EC’s! haha jk, but
you just made me feel 100 times better. Thanks and good luck at Choate, my friend just got accepted there too!

haha thanks polly. although its not certain… im leaning towards it very much. also dont just choose a “certain” school b.c of what u heard about it. Talk to the poeple there and see if its right for u. although i got into exeter, peddie, choate, etc… i didnt lean or choose choate b.c of its prestigous i chose it b.c i think its the best fit for me.

it also helps I got full FA to choate =)

I’ll keep that in mind. Even though I do kind of have a favorite because of family legacy…and I hope I can get some significant FA as well next year

Yeah…FA…we’re “FA applicants of 11…”!!!
