<p>It says that the essays should generally be a page long--does that mean single spaced or double spaced? If it's single spaced...man, that's a short word limit. </p>

<p>I think my EC essay was about a half to 3/4 of a page double-spaced. I would say for the bigger essays a page-ish double-spaced; mine was about a page and a half but still under 700 words I believe. It's the word count that is important, and I like to double space because it's easier on everyone's eyes.</p>
<p>Really, as long as it takes you to adequately explain what you're saying without being excessive.</p>
