Any idea how Rice determines who to give unsolicited application fee waivers to? I received one, but I have not asked for it.
It is based on SATI and/or SATII scores, IIRC. Possibly a list provided by College Board of students who scored within a certain range. My son got one last year out of the blue (no previous contact with Rice) and then decided one more app wouldn’t kill him.
