Application Payment Processing - will my application be late?

<p>If I look at payment information for certain colleges, it states:</p>

<p>"For students paying application fees by credit card: please note that the processing of a credit card fee may take 1-2 days to reflect with the Common App Online. This college will not receive your application until your fee has been successfully processed."</p>

<p>However, for some colleges, you may not submit payments until the common application and supplements are submitted. Following the above, does this mean I have to submit 2 days early to avoid the possible delay? If I submit and pay at the last minute, won't it be considered late?</p>

<p>I think it will. If the payment is going to be late, I’d email the college that you’re applying to and say that you didn’t know you had to pay before you submitted the application.</p>
