I e-mailed UF two weeks ago asking about my application status, and they replied that they did not receive my transcripts or SAT scores. These were both sent in late September and early October, a month before the deadline! (The e-mail reply wasn't just from a nobody student. It came from Sandra Hayden, the Assistant Director of Admissions, and I was even able to verify it as her e-mail address.)

I then called UF the next day after I got the e-mail response and they insisted that they actually had everything, including my SAT scores, transcripts, and documentation of my disability for the application.

So then I thought everything was fine and dandy until I logged in to check my application status online a week later to see if anything changed since I submitted the application October 25th. For the first time, the status screen changed, but it said my SAT scores were not received! Not only that, but it makes no mention of the receipt of my documentation. It does say they received both of my transcripts though.......TWO FULL MONTHS AFTER THE POSTMARK DATE FROM MY SCHOOL!!! ARGH! Who do I believe!??!?

Should I be calling the college board asking them to send the scores again because UF is so messed up? Should I even bother calling UF again?

In addition, I took the ACT in November and STILL don't have my scores and I'm beginning to freak out they may not be ready for the December 31st score deadline. Should I be calling the ACT and begging them to help me for dear life?

Yes, but I'm trying to figure out if they really have it or not! I did have the college board send them the scores electronically on September 27th. A full month before the application deadline and three monts before the score deadline coming up. There is no reason they shouldn't have it! (Yes, I have the receipt.)

I called UF, was put on hold, and then was hung up on. Bummer......

So I called again and the person found my SAT scores immediately. It turns out that they didn't pair it with my application because the scores didn't come with an associated Social Security number. I know I didn't know the number when I took the test, but my proctor (also my ex-guidance counselor) ensured me he would add it.........(I get accommodations, so he can edit the answer sheet like that if he wants, though the test book is off limits.) Well, I'll never trust him with that again!

But guys, PLEASE make sure UF has received your SAT scores. I just got a letter in the mail today saying they didn't arrive, so look for that. In addition, if you sent them ACT scores, they won't notify you if an SAT score is missing if "all necessary materials arrived." The online status works for me now. PLEASE CHECK IT FOR DEAR LIFE!!!!
