So, I sent in my application fee on saturday and they recieved it. I checked my application status a few minutes ago and it says that I havent sent in my transcripts, but I called my school and she sent them in. I don't know whats going on because FSU isnt the only school I asked her to send transcripts to and the other schools got them...Is it possible that they have alot of backed up mail? What can I do about it? Cause this was two weeks ago and the deadline is today!

We had the same problem. Just have your school fax a copy of your transcripts.

Why do they do that? My school already sent them my transcripts. I'm just annoyed because my school has ALOT of students and to keep asking them to send them over and over again its stupid. I was thinking maybe it happened because I just sent in my application fee on saturday so maybe they havent added everything in the file or something.

Were they sent electronically or by paper?

I dont know, I just asked the sec. at my high school to send them and I assumed she did.

Makes a BIG difference. And Admissions will check them down to the last detail. If you have the admissions form in, I think that's what counts. I'd also suggest calling Admissions to ensure my stuff was received and processed correctly...especially since you qualify for Honors and scholarships.

We had trouble with transcripts from our public high school too. I ended up contacting the Orange County FL records department directly and they can electronically send the transcripts right away. The high school guidance department was not very reliable.

Another problem we ran into was getting the AP and CLEP credits straightened out. It is definitely worth it because you get higher priority for registration and finish your liberal studies requirements faster, the more credits you already have completed.

It's just crazy cause I applied to two private schools out of state in the midwest and they got my transcripts last week. FSU which is 7 hours away from me hasn't gotten them. I trust my guidance department alot because the person who does transcripts is a very nice lady who has done alot of transcript sending for me. I'm assuming that they have'nt put it in the computer because they just got my payment today and they hasn't processed anything else. I'm going to call tomorrow to make sure but I hope thats it. If not, I'm not gonna kill myself for admissions at FSU, I have alot more options open to me. Its a relief to hear that I'm not the only one. Thank you.

Well I called FSU this morning and the guy said it might be missing because my payment didn't get processed till yesterday. He looked for it and couldnt find it. I emailed my school and she told me she sent another one and she would send another one tomorrow to make sure they get it. Thanks for all of your help.

I think you are fine, they have you somewhere in the system and it sounds like just some processing to get your stuff up to snuff.

The next decision block is I think 3/28 and they are making decisions right up until then. Keep checking the website to see latest info.

I did fax in some stuff to them and they took it.

Yeah, I been emailing them back and forth because they still haven't gotten three copies sent to them. I just told her that they might be coming in eletronically and I guess she's checking for them now which is something they should of done anyway.

Thank you for all your help. I found the problem, I guess they were expecting my transcripts to come by mail and never checked if they we're coming in electronically. I just remember the last semester of my senior year and how the lady who did transcripts told me that they would get sent electronically and that I didn't have to send them in. So its was def FSU faults but thank you guys!! Now the hard part of waiting till march 28th.

YAY! I am so glad they found your transcripts.

um, so it JUST occured to you to suggest looking for them electronically

I ask because you students need to think

If you had asked the Sec how she sent them the three times, you would have been in much less of a panic

Sometimes asking questions and finding out how things are done saves a lot of stress

Slightly uncalled for citygirlsmom.

Yeah it wasn't, tell your childern to THINK. Don't lecture me ma'am, Im sorry but you are being rude. It was unclear if they were sent eletronically. I dont know if your having a bad day but this is not a the place to make you rude, smart comments. As an adult you should be encouraging.

Well after all the rudeness, it was finally taken care of. Now the waiting begins for march 28th.

I found this chart on the USF website, Obvious it's USF but I think FSU follows simiar logic. Anyone care to expand on where we think the admit lines might be for end of March?

"Even if you meet the requirements it doesnt always mean that you'll get admitted". I dont know if thats really true but they do look at alot of other stuff but to think about it, GPA and SAT/ACT scores are the most important.

the transcripts sent electronically should automatically show up on FSU's system. i had the same problem with USF when i had my transcripts sent electronically like 6 times and through snail mail twice. i had my transcript electronically sent to UF once and they received it immediately. i guess it depends on each universities organizational components and computer systems.
