<p>After you submit your application do you receive a letter or an e-mail explaining how to check the status of your application? </p>
<p>If you do receive something how long after you submit your application do you get it?</p>
<p>I received a letter in the mail about a week after I submitted the online application just saying they had gotten all my stuff (basically letting me know they had gotten the transcript my school had sent, since the online stuff is pretty instantaneous).</p>
<p>That told me how to use my.pitt.edu to check the status, but I didn't really find it all that helpful (it just said "application received" or something like that..I got my decision 2 weeks after applying though, so maybe they didn't even update in that "round" of admission)</p>
