Thank you for quick response. They appear in numbers like 92, 91, 97 etc… but when GPA is calculated all 90+ is considered as A, there is no difference in 90, 99. So students focus on A grade and not 98 (for example). Transcript will have numbers. It looks like it is better to request registrar to send the transcript than coming across as misrepresenting the scores. I filled all my courses and grades the way we refer to them, I will have to delete them now.
@TXbsmd2016, You can choose to report your grades as numbers in the Self Reported Academic Record. When filling out the info on your high school, select “number grades”. You will see numbers as an option on the dropdown when selecting grades on the “Enter Coursework” section of the Academic Record.
It is absolutely fine for you to send a transcript instead if you choose to do so.

Thank you @hailtopitt1787 I will give it a try now.
I submitted my application last week and completed the short answer questions this weekend. When I check my application status online, it shows incomplete. Is there something else I need to do or will it continue to show incomplete until SAT scores are received? Just want to make sure there is nothing additional I need to do.
@midwestblues, It will show incomplete for a little bit, the status will be updated as everything is processed. If you have not taken the SAT yet and this is the first set of scores you are sending, it will show as incomplete until we receive those scores. In order to consider your application complete we need:
-Completed online application
-$45 application fee
-High school academic information (the self reported academic record or a high school transcript)
-Official SAT/ACT test results
If you have sent us all of that or are sending it, you should be good to go!

If we are sending in a transcript in lieu of the SRAR, should we still enter our coursework for senior year on the SRAR?
@linds248, No, just submit without entering anything in the SRAR section of the application.

How long would it take to receive confirmation/acknowledgment email after submitting the application? I submitted my SRAR yesterday by providing login/password and thought that was the last step. I haven’t received email. So I checked this morning and I realized there another Submit after submitting SRAR, so i clicked again Submit after providing login/password this morning. I haven’t received any email yet.
@TXbsmd2016, You should get a confirmation email shortly after submitting (check your junk mail, just in case). Then within a week you will get a second email from us with more information about next steps in the admissions process.

It has been two weeks, and I never received an email (I looked in junk too) about the next steps in the process. I just received a link to the short answers from an admissions person, so I will send those in today if it is not too late. What should I do? Also, I was wondering if Pitt needs a school report from a guidance counselor? Thank you in advance!
You may want to give us a call or shoot us a note about the email issue. It’s pretty important for us to be able to get in touch with you during the admissions process: 412-624-7488 or oafa@pitt.edu.
As for the school report, we shouldn’t need that. If you chose to self report your academic record, that is all we need. If you chose not to self report, we just need your transcript to be sent to us. As long as you have sent us the following, your application will be considered complete:
-The Online Application
-A Transcript OR the Self Reported Academic Record
-Any SAT/ACT Scores
-The $45 Application fee
Hope that helps!

@hailtopitt1787 I have a follow up to a previous question I asked in this thread…will I know whether or not they are waiting for SAT/ACT scores? Like, will they notify me that they’re waiting for information?
@Hunterwhaley, Approximately a week after you submit the application, you should get an email from our office. In that email, you’ll find a username and password you can use to log in to our portal and check the status of your application. In that portal, it will tell you if we are waiting on any items from you.
Hope that helps!

@hailtopitt1787 so if it says Complete, that means they aren’t waiting for the scores from my ACT this month?
@Hunterwhaley, If it says complete and there are not any outstanding items listed, then you are good to go!

@hailtopitt1787 Thank you for answering my question about the delayed email! My decision was made before I sent in the short answer questions. Can these short answers still be used to make scholarship decisions, or will they not even look at them?
@meerkat25, Feel free to send short answer responses!

@hailtopitt1787 If I sent them in through the online short answer submission, will they be put with my application?
@meerkat25, Yep! Please use that form.
