Is it ok not to submit SRAR? Also, how will Pitt know what high schools you went to if you don’t submit it?
Also, do i fill out anything in my academic record section if I am sending in my transcript(high school, graduation year?)
You can just send in your transcripts instead. My son was not sure about all his grades, so rather than risk making a mistake, he sent him transcripts. He did not fill out the academic section. His application was marked complete.
what about writing what high school you went to and saying your graduation year?
In the “My Application” section you will fill out some basic info about your high school. If you choose to send a transcript (which is totally fine), please level the “Academic Record” section entirely blank.
Hope that helps!

I put my info about my high school there but then it adds it to the academic record section and makes you fill out your grades for that school so I don’t know what to do. @hailtopitt1787
Also, I how can I get a fee waiver? I got an SAT one but Pitt isnt on the common app. @hailtopitt1787
@collegestress97, Let me look into it tomorrow when I have access to a few more things in the office and I will get back to you. What happens if you leave the rest of the Academic Record section blank, are you getting any kind of message in the Review/Submit section?

nothing in the review/submit section. But in the review academic record session it says missing high school graduation year and senior grades. @hailtopitt1787
@collegestress97, Okay, let me just double check a few things tomorrow and I will get right back to you on this.
Thanks for your patience!

thanks!! also fee waivers. @hailtopitt1787
@collegestress97, What is your question about fee waivers?
@Collegestress97, I just walked through the application myself. It doesn’t give me any trouble when the school autofills into the “Academic Report” section. If you carefully fill out everything else, skip that section and ignore the Academic Report (don’t try to delete your school from Academic Report because it will delete it elsewhere in the app), then you should be able to submit no problem. Because the Academic Report is missing, we will know to wait for your transcript.
Hope that helps!

Should our graduation year and high school be in my academic record? @hailtopitt1787
How do we get a fee waiver since it’s not on the common app? @hailtopitt1787
If you had a fee waiver from your high school to use for SAT then you should have four application fee waivers in your college board account waiting for you to be printed out. On your application you should be able to select that you are applying with a fee waiver and I assume you mail the fee waiver to the FA office at Pitt.
For the common app I think your guidance counselor has some kind of verification procedure they can use making you eligible to apply to all common app schools for free if you qualified for SAT fee waiver.
That way you can use the four application fee waivers you get from collegeboard (for using a SAT fee waiver) for schools not on common app.
@collegestress97, Whatever autofills in the Academic Record should be okay there, but don’t manually add anything else in that section. To inquire about fee waivers, please shoot us an email: oafa@pitt.edu.
Hope that helps!

Hi, my son just filled out the app - he did the Academic Record but is also having a transcript sent; I hope this is acceptable? Thank you!
@fretfulmother, Sure, please just send us a note to oafa@pitt.edu so we can make a note in your son’s applicant record that he both filled out the Academic Record and sent a transcript. We typically will only look at one or the other, so having that note in the record helps the admissions committee know that the application is good to go.
