Application Server Down?

Who else gets this message went they try to check their application status? It will be down until March 10. I hope I’m not the only one getting this message.

yes, software upgrade. They do this to build suspense.

I guess I won't be checking it every hour this weekend

uh for realz.

hella freaked out now.... :s

they just had to upgrade software at this time. couldn't even check my financial aid argh

Open For Business

lakeside, have you been accepted yet? mine still says no decision made.
:/

Nope. My worry is that they will never change the website and it will be April 1 when the rejection letter comes in the mail. I need to decide on a school so I can start worrying about housing.

yeah for sure!
i am worried about that too. i am already starting to gear myself towards university of oregon... as far as housing and everything. but then again, i will hear from them the first week of april, so if there is still hope, i am still in the waiting process.

what is your next choice if you don't get into cal poly? did you say university of oklahoma or something?

I have been accepted at Pomona and at OU. SLO is the cheapest for my situation.

ooohh, i just got waitlisted at pomona, so i probably didn't get into slo. haha

i'm setting my sights on univ. of oregon. i am thinking it's actually a blessing in disguise. and i'm okay with that.

I am a mother of a S most likely heading to UO in September. We also have been waiting for SLOW and nothing! He is very exicited about Oregon and has 3 friends going too! Want to let you know, it is a GREAT school and we are going up this weekend for "Duck Days" He is a strong student at a very good high school in SoCal. No Worries, admission in CA is crazy. I have been reading your posts and I want to say I have heard great things about Oregon. I hope the best works out for you.

thanks, i appreciate that. i was sort of bummed that i hadn't heard anything...and now i am really excited for whatever comes my way.
at least i am going to college, something not a lot of people get a chance to do! and univ. of oregon is really nice!

hey, everything happens for a reason! :)

what is your son's major? i'm in architecture, if you didn't know that already.

He is a Business Major. He really likes sports and they have a great sports management program, plus the PAC10. Also, the dorms are great and it seems like such a wonderful school. He really wants UO and it is his parents who want him close and at SLO. I think you will do great wherever you go. Good luck! .

Jack,
You probably know Pomona only takes about 100 first years, plus they have some local schools that get priority, making their rejected list much longer. I don't know how big a waitlist there is, but it's better than reject, so don't give up on slo yet. It ain't over til it's over. But ya, UO is a great arch program, great school, great town, just a bit overcast and wet.
